Our aim is to improve patient care through advances in diagnosis and treatment of skeletal conditions, as well as through fracture prevention.

We believe in a bi-directional interaction between basic scientists and clinical researchers to address clinical needs. We strive to develop and maintain unique interdisciplinary approaches using state-of-the- art methodologies for the analysis of skeletal tissue to improve our understanding of disease and treatment.

Our research is an integral part of national and international centres of excellence for osteology and rare bone diseases.
